ABOUT ME

I want to begin by introducing myself. I go by Laila. I am born in California, USA. Traveling is something embedded in my DNA. My maternal grandfather used to travel frequently and my mom and sisters are avid travelers as well. My parents took us on many international trips growing up; the first, was in Asia. I was 5 years old the first time I experienced "culture shock" and since then I've grown accustomed to it. Being raised in a diverse region in California helped me to learn about many other cultures and further my love for exploring, history and languages.

My travel aesthetic is all about "Luxury". Luxury to me means; high quality and uniqueness. Quality does not always mean expensive, as I will demonstrate here. Slow travel and ex-pat living, learning about local cultures and sustainability is something I will promote. Privacy is also very important to me. I don't ever want to be a blogger who gains attention or influencer treatment. I value discretion, so I do not disclose my blog name, or nationality while traveling. I prefer to try to blend in and learn local languages to avoid scams and stay safe. I want to promote a variety of large and small businesses with great service as well as list safe and smart travel tips. I will not accept paid promotions for any dishonest endorsement.

I hope to inspire more travelers who also seek a genuine, luxurious, high-quality travel experience that is mindful of local regional customs, languages, histories, and sustainability.
